This blog is constantly bombarded with spam comments. For that reason, the comments are moderated. However, the majority of comments get through without an issue.
Spam (i.e. viagra, medications, and blatant advertising) comments are deleted and marked as spam, which means they won’t even get through to the moderation queue in future.
Comments that contain multiple URL’s or bad language also won’t get through.
I have no issue with visitors who make genuine comments – these are what help keep this blog high quality and helpful. Those who comment only to advertise their own websites or products will be deleted. (In other words, don’t include an advertisement in your post – it will not get published!) The URL used when you make a comment will give you a backlink, and people can click on that if they’re interested. This is a much better way to advertise because it’s not so off-putting.
Please help make this blog a useful one for everyone by abiding by the common etiquette rules and keeping it nice.
