Yes, I'm late again. Still trying to catch up, and still trying to finish my current ms.

There are a few things I want to talk about this time around.  First off, I'm looking for a columnist.

Cheryl Malandrinos is involved in a number of opportunities and needs to cut back. That leaves a slot open.

This will be a once-a-month gig, and will usually centre around one topic or subject.

The subject matter will be something that will help writers earn mo.ney from their writing, and also needs to have a lot of possibilities with things to discuss. (Because it needs to be on-going.)

If you're not familiar with them already, read through our guidelines.

If you are interested in this regular slot, send a submission to me, briefly outlining your plan for the column. Please, please, do not email and ask me what you can write about. You need to tell me what you can write about, not the other way around.

The person who gets the gig is expected to submit an article every month 1-2 days before the issue date.  If that date cannot be met, advise is required with plenty of time for me to find a replacement article elsewhere.

Please note:  the successful applicant must be published, and must be ea.rning m.oney with their writing to qualify for this gig.

If you intend to apply as a columnist, please treat it like a submission you would send to a magazine or other publisher.  I've had some very sloppy submissions in the past, and would hate to reject a submission based on someone not being professional. (My email address is at the bottom of this page.)

Now I'd like to tell you about a 'hot sheet' I found that's specifically for freelance copywriters.  If you're in this category, but not earning what you feel you should be, then this extremely low priced hot sheet is for you.

It's written by someone who started out working for peanuts and has progressed to earning figures like $97 for 500 words.

I have a copy of Shay's "No Fluff, No B.S. Hotsheet" and can tell you it's very worthwhile.  And at the super low price of $7, you really can't go wrong.

What I really hate (and you probably know this already) is seeing writers sell their services for so much less than they're worth.  I've seen writers selling unique articles for as low as $1.  Are you kidding me - $1?  How can you run a legitimate writing business when you sell your services so low?

(Even $5-$10 an article is too low.)

Well now you don't have to, because Shay is going to show you how to earn much more than you dreamed possible.

She reveals one service she provides that earns $97 for just 30 minutes of work - and even provides an real-life example of it.

There's a lot more in this $7 report, and this is just one example.

If you're at all interested in boosting your writing inc.ome, go here to read the information on the report.  The worst thing you can do is waste a few minutes of your time.

Please be clear that this report won't tell you how to write - it assumes you can already write.  And let's be honest, if you can write clearly enough to write an email or letter, in all likelihood, you can write well enough for this sort of work. (Or as Shay says, if you can write at 6th to 8th grade level, you have the skills to do this work.)

*If you're already earning a lot with your writing skills, this report probably isn't for you.  But if you're struggling and need an inc.0me boost, then definitely check it out. (Comes with a 30 day refund guarantee.)

Last issue I told you about a brand-new book that's available - Kindle Kash. I now have a copy, and although I've not had a chance to review it yet, I have skimmed through it and can tell you it's brilliant, extremely informative.

If you're even remotely interested in self-publishing or bypassing publishers, then you need to check this out.

If you decide to go ahead and purchase, don't buy via that page.  The price offered is very reasonable, but I have negotiated a special rate for my subscribers which allows you a discount of $12-00 - the most I've even been able to negotiate so far! Here's the link to get a discounted copy, but you'll need to check it out at the first link as there is no info there.

Okay, onto this issue.

You're probably aware that ebook readers and Kindle are the way of the future. I don't believe for one moment that print books will ever be totally eliminated, but right now, ebooks are far outselling print books.  As writers, this gives us the perfect opportunity to earn good money selling books for Kindle and other ebook readers.

I've written a short article that gives just a few facts you need to be aware of if you're thinking about going down this path.

That's it from me, time to sit back and enjoy this issue.

Til next time…

Facts for Writers

Cheryl Wright - All Rights Reserved

In the past, writers had no choice but to submit to publishers to have their work published. Self-publishing was frowned upon, and because of that, many writers shied away from doing it.

A lot has changed.

Hundreds, if not thousands of authors, including some NY Times Bestselling authors, are going the self-publishing route. Often exclusively via Kindle.

Following the release of the Kindle, self publishing has never been easier.

Many writers have failed to sell their ‘traditionally published’ books because they’ve failed to promote effectively. Or even to promote at all.

Promotion is still important, but Amazon attracts huge amounts of people on a daily basis, and therefore your book will get more exposure than you ever dreamed possible.

Recent statistics showed ebooks are now outselling print books, so we’re well and truly in the electronic age. Right now – at ground level – is a perfect time to venture into this lucrative area.
